During this session, teachers will be introduced to iTopia, create CoudApp classes, plan the steps needed to introduce this platform to students, and simulate streaming graphic-intensive software as a student.

During this presentation, we will explore the innovative use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in developing clear and tangible learning targets for students. These learning targets serve as essential communication tools, outlining specific expectations for students throughout the unit. By incorporating both skills and concepts that students must master, we ensure that they have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and goals.

Staff will learn strategies to review data sources used to make ARD committee decisions as well as how to confidently speak to this information in ARDs and feel confident in your recommendations. Staff will also have the opportunity to practice these strategies and leave with tools that can be implemented next week!

Students in content-area classrooms are required to manage increasing amounts of academic vocabulary in order to be successful. This training offers effective strategies that can be used to build academic vocabulary skills for students in an authentic and engaging way. During the training, participants will learn how to teach core content vocabulary, how to help students navigate the academic language found in textbooks and on tests, and how to help students become independent learners of new vocabulary. This training is valuable for teachers, specialists, and administrators. Those who attend the training gain a deeper understanding of the types of academic vocabulary students need to use. In addition, real life practice strategies enable participants to implement what they’ve learned when they return to their classroom.

As a pilot school for emergent tree we have received additional training and implemented additional practices that other schools have not. This session will be our attempt to share how these practices have positively impacted our campus and provide options for all district employees to implement into their roles in working with students.

Not only is Pear Deck engaging, it is also a great way to administer formal and informal checks with your class. In this session we will practice using Pear Deck and discover a few tips and tricks that make Pear Deck a #1 tool for increased student engagement and quick classroom data checks.

In this session you will be creating multiple google slide templates for year round use. We will focus on templates for planning, daily/agenda slides, seating charts, student activities & parent communication. You will also have the opportunity to create slides with locked backgrounds, fun design elements and interactive pieces.

In this session, participants will gain a deeper understanding of special education law as it pertains to the ARD process and committee decision making. Topics will highlight managing differing opinions regarding recommendations and requests for services/supports and what legal parameters exist around these decisions.
